Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 20, 2026
Flavr is a place to discover great restaurants and share honest experiences. These Community Guidelines keep Flavr trustworthy, respectful, and safe for everyone. They apply to everything you do on the Service — posts, comments, reviews, photos, videos, lists, and messages. Breaking them may result in content removal, feature restrictions, or account termination.
1. Be Respectful
- Treat others with respect. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech.
- Do not attack people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Disagree with a restaurant or a review without being abusive toward people.
2. Be Authentic
- Write reviews based on genuine, first-hand experiences.
- No fake reviews, paid reviews disguised as organic, review bombing, or coordinated manipulation.
- Do not impersonate other people, restaurants, or Flavr staff.
- One person, one account — don’t operate networks of accounts to inflate engagement.
3. Keep Content Appropriate
- No sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or shocking content.
- No content that promotes illegal activity, self-harm, or dangerous behavior.
- No spam, scams, or repetitive promotional content.
- Keep restaurant photos and videos relevant — show the food, the place, and the experience.
4. Respect Rights and Privacy
- Only post content you created or have permission to share.
- Do not infringe others’ copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
- Do not share other people’s private information without consent.
- Do not post photos of people who have not agreed to be featured in a way that violates their privacy.
- To report copyright or trademark infringement, use the in-app Report tool or email support@flavr.ca with a description of the content, proof of ownership or authorization, and your contact information.
5. Content Ownership and Licensing
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Flavr a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and promote your content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. Full terms are in our Terms of Service.
6. Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation
If you see content that breaks these Guidelines, report it using the in-app report tools. You can also block users to stop seeing their content and prevent them from interacting with you.
We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts. We may also act proactively where we detect violations. We aim to be fair and consistent, and serious or repeated violations lead to stronger enforcement.
7. AI Features
Do not misuse Flavi AI or AI-generated lists to create misleading, harmful, or infringing content, or to manipulate rankings and reviews. AI suggestions are a starting point — your contributions should still be honest and your own.
8. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Flavr uses an anonymization model. When you delete your account, your personal identity and private data are removed, but your public contributions — reviews, comments, posts, and shared media — remain to preserve the integrity of public conversations and restaurant history. They are no longer attributed to you and appear as authored by “Deleted User.” Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
9. Enforcement
Consequences depend on the severity and frequency of violations and may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent termination. We reserve the right to act to protect the community and the Service.
